First Eucharist Banners!

It is our custom for each family to create a Banner as part of our 1st Eucharist Celebration. The banner becomes a valued family keepsake and reminder of this important step in our faith journey.

Banner Guidelines:

- Please make then 2 feet wide and 3 feet long.
- Provide a piece of wood or metal at the top and bottom. This helps them hang nicely.
- Use any fabric you like.

You will see a variety of ways to express the meaning of this celebration when you view examples shown below.
You will receive reminders to bring the banners in.
They will be first hanged in the gym as part of the setting for the Seder Meal on Wed. March 31. That date and event are already listed on the schedule.
This becomes a special introduction for all into the meal Jesus was celebrating with his disciples at what we now call the Last Supper. It was a Jewish Seder meal in which they celebrated the Exodus from Egypt and slavery.
